Arrival Procedure CIQ.

STEP 1 Passenger Arrival at Phuket Airport

  • Passengers arrive at the terminal (TPK). The airline must sort the passengers before disembarking from the aircraft by applying a CIQ sticker to indicate that the passenger is part of the CIQ process. The airline must assign staff to assist passengers from the point of contact with the terminal (aircraft door/bridge) to the baggage claim area.

STEP 2 Baggage Claim

  • CIQ passengers walk to the International Arrival Terminal via the connecting path from the Domestic Terminal to the International Terminal (Level 2) to collect their luggage at the baggage claim area on Level 1 of the International Arrival Terminal.

STEP 3 Customs Inspection Process

  • After collecting their luggage from the baggage claim, passengers must go through customs inspection. If customs randomly inspects luggage or if the passenger has items that are subject to tax, they must pass their luggage through an X-ray machine for detailed inspection. The passenger must pay any customs duties in accordance with customs regulations.

STEP 4 Meeting Point

  • After completing the customs process, passengers proceed to the outermost lobby area of the International Arrival Terminal on Level 1.
